    really excited about the future of web development. As a passionate coder and AI enthusiast, I can't help but share my thoughts. They are all top-notch tools that can help you build scalable, performant web apps quickly. I've used many of these in my own projects and they've been game-changers. But what really gets me pumped is the potential of AI to revolutionize web development. Imagine being able to automatically generate code, optimize performance, and even design UI/UX - that's the future we're heading towards. I've been experimenting with AI tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion, and the results are mind-blowing. i think i need to make a video too. Happy coding, folks! • @brucesmith1754
    @brucesmith1754 4 дня назад

    Hey Joe, Looking at your diagram, not sure if you are saying that the AppDev developer requires that you learn Both JavaScript stack(JQuery,React or Vue, MySQL) AND PHP Fullstack (PHP, MYSQL, Laravel). I'm more into the PHP/MYSQL , eventually Laravel. But do I also Need the Javascript stuff. Also you mentioned in the past that the Shopify technologies were moving too much for you to keep updating your training platform for the App Development training. Is this still the case. Or do you have something new coming out for Shopify Plus.

    • @CodingPhase
      @CodingPhase 4 дня назад

      Yes shopify development as far as the tools provided by shopify move too much that's why I'm not focusing on creating a course for that because then I would have to make new course every 3 months. But this for an experienced developer is not a problem because usually you will build your own set of tools to do app dev and update as you need to. You need Javascript bro no matter what in 2024 trying to make everything on the backend makes no sense. You can choose a framework JS and then backend php/mysql..

    • @brucesmith1754
      @brucesmith1754 4 дня назад

      Are you saying that Shopify integrates best with Javascript Front-end (JS/React) for why you see JS as a necessity or are you also saying JS is necessary for EveryThing in 2024. In the past , I may have misunderstood that you could choose between PHP and Javascript if you had a good handle on HTML/CSS ,and just use Laravel with PHP for your framework for building in general and for Shopify. I'm asking because I invested a few months trying to get a handle on HTML/CSS/PHP/MYSQL and was settling on learning Laravel. But if the requirements for Shopify work better with JS and its frameworks, I guess I'll have to shift gears. Thanks.

    • @CodingPhase
      @CodingPhase 4 дня назад

      no I'm not saying that... what I'm saying is to provide a good user experience you need to use javascript no matter what. I give you a great example if you create a shopify app and that app is fully server rendered and it has a dashboard you will need javascript for the charts and also to update the data. As far as the back end you can have it in whatever language you want but for UX you going to need javascript no matter what

    • @brucesmith1754

    in my previous job my stack was shopify + gatsby (react) + wordpress. It was great and I made decent money. But my latest job is pure vanilla Shopify (liquid, scss, vanilla js) and I'm making a lot more money. Just saying you don't necessarily have to do anything beyond basic web dev + liquid to succeed with shopify. There is still a ton of value in headless shopify with react or vue (plus it's a lot more fun)

    If i started on this stack today, about how long (an estimate) will it take me to reach $1million? And does this apply to anyone from any country?

    • @CodingPhase
      @CodingPhase 4 дня назад

      The first thing you should focus on is getting the skills to provide the service. Second is to get your first client or customer. The money will come after that. Take it in baby steps how can you make your first 1k ->10k -> 50k -> 100k ->250k -> 500k -> 1 million. Also making a million in one year is not the goal you can make 1 million in 3 years total. By going on this path some will get to 1m faster than others so how long it will take its all relative to where you are with your skills and knowledge of e-commerce

    I graduated from Rutgers university in 2016 with a ba in information technology. Coming up on almost 8 years of experience now. What I see happening now is the same trend happening back when I graduated school with a major in this field. Entry level positions requiring 2-3 years is NOT a new thing, the pandemic was an anomaly for NEW hiring in the industry. I had to start from entry level 1 desktop/networking support. Dealing with grumpy end users who don't understand technology at all and want their computer to "just work", running cables in dirty old sites and idf cabinets, doing pots line cutovers to fiber, you name it. Pretty much all of the GRUNT work the senior and mid level engineers didnt want to do or bother wasting their time on, is what I was assigned to do. Not only that but countless hours at this point in my career to study, achieve various cloud certifications, and build projects to make it where I am now as a senior azure solutions architect 7 almost 8 years later. And thats from someone with a bachelors from a great university with an internship. People need to stop the sensationalism around the tech industry, its always been hard work that rewards those who grind out the amount of time required to build meaningful projects, likely related to a specific industry where you have subject matter expertise. You can't expect to graduate from a 6 month cloud bootcamp and start implementing hybrid, multitenant, multicloud architectures that work AT SCALE. Even if you magically bullshit your way into one of these jobs, I hope you are one of the fastest learners alive. Othwerise your seat in that 6 month evaluation period is going to be VERY uncomfortable when people start assigning you complex tasks that you are unable to complete not due to incompetence, but lack of knowledge, skill, and EXPERIENCE. I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel, great work and keep spreading knowledge on how the REAL industry works. Wishing you nothing but the best.
